I’ve been doing a great deal of cafe research during my month in Barcelona. Cafes are where I prefer to work, and while I had grand plans to try several of the co-working spaces in my neighborhood, I couldn’t tear myself away from the wonderful cafes I found.
A true stand out is Mercat Cafe Bar in El Raval. It has an absolutely lovely atmosphere and staff… the food is exquisite (definitely try the triangulos and the chorizo + brie sandwich)… the coffee is good… the gin and tonics, yes. Also because these things matter to me, they have wifi and don’t mind a solo guest sitting at one of the tables with a computer for a while. It’s a splendid, productive, and delicious win all around.
