Walking into the shop at Peter Hoe Evolution, the only thing going through my mind is: “Can I live in here?” The luscious, colorful fabrics are so divine, so inviting… I want to buy everything and surround myself with the vibrancy forever. Since I live out of suitcase, I sadly can’t do that — the disastrous downside of a nomad life. Instead, I take what might be an absurd amount of time admiring every pattern, every product… buying just a few small things so I can (literally) hold onto the joy I feel here.
Next to the shop is an open, airy café where they serve deliciously fresh food. After almost a month in Kuala Lumpur with a diet of heavy meals one right after the other (and I actually can’t remember the last time I had lettuce), the light and tasty Vietnamese salad is a revelation.
I’m sorry I didn’t find my way to this corner of Kuala Lumpur sooner because this is definitely a place where I’d like to spend a lot of time. I look forward to coming back — and if you’re in Kuala Lumpur you shouldn’t miss it. The Peter Hoe Evolution is truly something to believe in.
