Standing 140 feet tall, Lord Murugan welcomes thousands of visitors every day to one of the most popular Hindu sites outside of India — the Batu Caves. He’s very stunning and imposing to say the least. As you stare up at him, you can ready yourself for the 272 steep stair climb to the Cathedral Cave where there sits a beautiful Hindu temple.
Monkeys abound but they showed little interest in us, clearly bored of tourists who come sans bananas.
Overall a very impressive site. If you like bugs and wearing hard hats with lamps, be sure to include the Dark Cave tour as part of your visit.
